Vehicle Technician

We are looking for a conscientious fully experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join our existing team.

You will efficiently carry out service and repairs to vehicles to meet the Companies targets whilst maintaining a "right first time" attitude therefore ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Hours:
Monday - Friday, Alternate Saturday mornings

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out service and repairs to motor vehicles.
  • To work safely adhering to Company policy.
  • To complete any work in an effective and efficient manner.
  • To adopt a "right first time" attitude.
  • To maintain a suitable level of relevant technical knowledge.
  • Carry out administration associated with task in hand.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy.
  • Complete a Vehicle Health Check (VHC) on every vehicle.

Experience Required

  • Preferably ATA accredited.
  • NVQ level 1, 2 & 3.
  • 5 years franchise experience preferred.

Paint Technician

We are looking to recruit a conscientious and fully experienced Paint Technician to join our existing team at our Accident Repair Centre in Chesterfield.

The role of Paint Technician involves preparing and applying appropriate materials to re-finish vehicle body surfaces to a high standard.

You will be responsible for preparing vehicle body surfaces for finishing or re-finishing, your role will also involve selecting appropriate materials and mix paint colours being aware of chemical components and reactions.

Hours:
Full Time 42 hours per week. Monday - Friday and alternate Saturdays

The role will also involve the following

  • To complete work to a high standard but also work quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • To check and maintain tools and workshop equipment and ensure they are in good working order before use.
  • Complete any relevant paperwork and logs, sign off jobs and clock in as required.
  • Observe and be responsible for health and safety precautions and protective equipment and report defects as necessary.

Experience Required

  • VCQ Level 3 or ATA/IMI equivalent
  • 2-3 years Bodyshop experience

To guide customers and maximise vehicle sales opportunities whilst maintaining excellent customer service levels in line with our company visions and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand all products by researching their features and capabilities, as well as comparing and contrasting competitive models.
  • Meeting and Greeting potential buyers by keeping good rapport with previous and new customers; also by suggesting trade-ins; respond to enquiries; recommend sales campaigns and promotions.
  • Qualify buyers by understanding their interests and requirements; matching requirements and interests to various models, etc.
  • Close sales by overcoming objection(s); complete sales orders; explain provisions; offer services, warranties and financing; collect payment and handover the vehicle.
  • Perform walk-arounds with new and old customers and demonstrate features of suitable vehicles and ensure that customers understand the vehicle’s operating features, paperwork and warranty upon handover.
  • Establish and maintain the follow-up procedure in accordance with the sales process and CRM system.
  • Report to the sales manager regarding reviews, sales statistics, and planned activities to improve sales.
  • Update own job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, sales meetings and training provided by the company.
  • Maximising Profit by adhering to the sales process and achieving monthly KPI’s for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration and add-on products whilst maintaining high levels of FCA compliance.

Competencies and experience required

  • Previous experience of sales in a customer facing environment, preferably car sales.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to use MS Word & Excel
  • Full UK driving licence
